7 tips to look after your skin after summer

Skincare -

After enjoying your well-deserved holidays, sunbathing, going to the beach and pool, you should not neglect your skin because it “has a memory”. Chlorine from the pool, saltpetre from the sea, humidity, waxing and sun rays cause the skin to suffer and spots, wrinkles, acne, irritation, dryness appear. …. Below we show you 7 tips to look after your skin after summer, if you want to know how to pamper your skin to the maximum before the cold weather arrives, keep reading this blog so you don’t miss any bits of advice!

Moisturising your skin inside and out

Tip number 1, hydration from the inside is essential, we must drink at least 2 litres of water a day. It is also essential to use moisturiser in your daily beauty routine on your face, neck and neckline as well as on your body and feet (we recommend exfoliating them once or twice a week with a pumice stone before moisturising). It is recommended to apply the cream twice a day.

It is imperative to use specific treatments at night, anti-ageing, anti-spot or soothing creams work best during those hours. Our nourishing face cream contains retinol and is perfect for use as a night cream, and can be used as a regenerating treatment together with the eye contour moisturiser with hyaluronic acid, retinol and powerful Mediterranean ingredients.

Skin exfoliation

Tip number 2, gently exfoliate once a week, this removes dead skin cells and impurities, facilitates rehydration and will help you maintain an even tan. Even if you have applied lotions and after sun creams to relieve dry skin after sunbathing, skin has a tendency to become dehydrated, lose its radiance and become rougher, so it is good to remove dead skin with a good exfoliation.

A good exfoliation is vital to improve the oxygenation of the skin, thus regenerating the complexion and forming new cells and collagen fibres.

Cleanse your skin before going to bed

Tip number 3, it is very important that you wash your face before going to bed because it is at night when your skin works the hardest. We recommend you to read our blog on types of make-up removers, it will help you decide which one suits you best!

Sun protection

Tip number 4, yes, you read that right, sun protection because it should not only be used during summer, it should be used 365 days a year. Remember that as we get older, more blemishes appear on our skin, and the sun accentuates existing spots and they can get a darker tone and for that you can use depigmentation products.

Be careful, take care of your skin because UVB radiation can cause serious skin lesions that may even be pre-cancerous.

Dermo-cosmetic treatments

Tip number 5, some aesthetic and dermo-cosmetic treatments can help achieve an ideal skin appearance.

Some options to combat skin ageing are the use of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA), retinoic acid such as retinol, resveratrol, vitamin C or ferulic acid. Our anti-ageing face serum contains these last 3 as well as other high quality Mediterranean ingredients. You won’t be able to resist trying this cocktail of natural ingredients for your skin!

Aesthetic medicine can also help to restore the skin’s vitality. Some treatments that we can highlight are:

  • Mesotherapy with which a deeper hydration is achieved through infiltrations of hyaluronic acid, amino acids and vitamins.
  • Pulsed light to stimulate collagen, which helps to eliminate blemishes, melasma, lentigines, redness and pigmentation marks.
  • Peeling, this treatment eliminates darkened areas caused by photoaging and pigmentation.

Join the face mask revolution!

Tip number 6, opt for a nourishing face mask or clay facial mask and use it once a week to detoxify and moisturise your skin. In our natural skincare online shop you can find a detox face mask with the most exclusive Mediterranean ingredients and you can enjoy a very pleasant icy freshness effect on your face while keeping your face clean and hydrated!

Balanced diet

Tip number 7, your skin needs foods rich in antioxidants and vitamins. A diet rich in fruit and vegetables will help you boast glowing skin, especially berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries…), green leafy vegetables and nuts. If you are too lazy to eat them separately, our advice is to make a fruit and vegetable smoothie.

Have you written down all these tips? If you follow them, your skin will look healthier, more attractive and radiant, and you’ll see that it will recover all the hydration and elasticity it lost during the summer!
